Oghul Horo (or "Ogg" as she introduces herself) is a trash-talking Xaela from a remote offshoot of the Horo tribe. Anywhere from angry to sneeringly taunting at any given time, the small woman often spends more time cursing and yelling than offering any real conversation. It's often difficult to discern anything about her or her past, given that she acts the part of the most unreliable narrator alive. She frequently mentions a seemingly random tribe name when pressed.Despite her seemingly irritable and simple demeanor, she at least seems to know the basics about each steppe tribe, enough so to often fool other Xaela into believing she's an ex-member of them. She spends much of her time Eorzea yelling and taunting others, more often starting an interaction by asking "The fuck are you looking at?" rather than offering a proper greeting.

Notes:Ogg is not an easy person to get along with. She has a lot of 'issues' that can easily turn folks off.
I have a lot of foils for typical tropes built into her, so please don't be offended if she's very abrasive or doesn't mesh with your character or writing style.
Yes, the pictured expression is not far from her resting bitch face.Likelihood to approach others: 2/10 (Highly Situational)

Notes

Ogg is a very powerful geomancer, a skilled thief, and an all-around jerk in most cases. As far as how powerful, I've often described her as:
"If Sadu Dotharl was somehow meaner, used geomancy, was a touch pudgy, and was a pacifist."

Appearance Info

  • Ogg has stronger-than-average teeth, seeming like they're aetherically strengthened. They are sharply pointed at the tips, but not sharp on the edges, their shape almost conical, as if her teeth were all fangs.

  • To go along with the sharky look of her teeth, her scales are all smooth and skink-like, almost more amphibian than reptilian compared to most.

  • She is a very strict pacifist, though this is a completely personal belief. Even though she will often whine at others' tendency to fight, she isn't above letting someone else fight for her (particularly those mentioned further down this page).

  • She is also a 'mage hater'. She finds most magic users to be terribly wasteful of aether, particularly those who use magic for mundane uses, such as cleaning or getting around. (Long-range teleportation via aetheryte is generally fine, though.)

Hooks

  • Asshole: Ogg is very rude. VERY rude. Will often spend more time calling another person names than making proper conversation. Occasionally, it's possible to break through the bullshit to something resembling normal talk. But even so...

  • Unreliable Narrator: Ogg lies about nearly everything. From her tribe to her age, to simple likes and dislikes. It's very difficult to extract real information from her.

  • Soft: Despite being relatively fit for a Horo, she's still got just enough dough on her body to appear somewhat out of shape. She's not a terribly strong warrior, though she's more than willing to play dirty to make up for her shortcomings.

  • Selective Acceptance: Many people who approach her looking to make friends or 'get past' her aloof demeanor often find themselves frustrated, though it's not an impossible task. She tends to have strong preconceptions about others, particularly stronger sorts, those from tribal backgrounds, or fighters of any ilk.

  • Aether Rich: Oghul seems like she's far more aether rich than the otherwise unassuming woman might appear. Someone with aether sight might even mistake her for some kind of sorceress or powerful mage.

  • Vague Aether Sense: Ogg doesn't have a good aether sense, and what she does have is mainly through smell. Different elements and types of aether have particular scents to her. Those she doesn't like usually have particular scents to her. It's actually not difficult to mask one's aether through using tangible perfumes to throw her senses off.

"Rumour" Info

NOTE: None of this is public knowledge, and I would rather none of it be metagamed into being revealed. If you're a Xaela from the steppe, you're free to use the first bullet point to doubt something she'd say, but I'd rather people not use this info unless they have a very good hook.

  • Though many Xaela pretty quickly discern it, her insistence that she left the Steppe due to her own annoyance with their customs is only partially true. The real reason she left -- and refuses to reenter -- the steppe is because several tribes have barred her from returning. The reasons for this vary from petty theft to severe vandalization. There are also rumors of a destroyed village far away from the steppe proper, razed by an out of control hedge witch rivalling that of Sadu Heavensflame.

  • Ogg is actually a very naturally powerful geomancer, but she never keeps any foci on her, so much of her skill is in manipulating aether without one. The rare instances she -does- use a focus (a chime), her power is magnified by a large degree.

  • Her heritage has a bit of oddity in it, giving her slightly aquatic features, most notably her dull sharky teeth and smoother-than-average scales.

  • Her teeth are almost supernaturally strong, though it's unclear if they're naturally strong or if she uses her geomancy to 'reinforce' them -- But she had been seen to bite through metal under duress back with her coastal tribe on the steppe.

  • She is an excellent swimmer, using her tail to its full potential in maneuvering. Despite her slightly pudgy form, she seems to be far more 'athletic' when it comes to water versus moving on land.

  • She has two identical(ish) twins, who are currently working as mercenaries in Shaaloani. One, named Cheuvaze, seems as though she's a necromancer of sorts, while the more mild-mannered of the trio, Anauel, is a simple hybrid of a blue mage and a knight. These two are actually undead voidsent bound to vessels created to look identical to Ogg. They often keep their distance from Ogg herself, currently residing in Shaaloani as mentioned above. If you'd like to meet either of them, feel free to let me know OOC. See photo below this text.
